Gartner’s top 10 strategic technologies for 2010. Interesting Top Ten, I would add Business Service Management as it strategically aligns the provisioning and operation of IT-based services like email, ERP, CRM, etc… It is amazing when an organization aligns their business information with their IT data. Ex. Bus. Question: Why is the number of trades slowing down? BSM Alignment: The disk I/O is maxed out on the application server, thereby noting more disks need to be added to increase I/O or another application server needs to be added to the cloud/farm, etc… This kind of correlation and alignment is not possible with node/host based management prevalent with the Big4 monitoring/managment. That makes it a Top 10 for me, besides the fact (full disclosure) that we have the most innovative product in this space. Oh, I have exceeded my 250 characters for this post.
