Part 2 of the iPhone 4.0 series focuses on two of the most important potential updates email and calendar improvements. Usig the iPhone for business is still a bit sketchy at times since the Exchange integration and feature is just barely adequate. New enhancements here will be strongly received. Let’s hope these suggestions make it in the 4.0 release.

Lets hope this rumor is true as support for background apps is it’s most glaring weakness. I would go as far as to say that it could even impact market share positioning if it is not in the next release. It does sound like it is a highly probable addition as several outlets are reporting that their sources are pointing to this being added. Apple bring it!

Great article and strong list…I wonder if the tablet will have some of these features since Apple has not done an iPhone update in months (too hide any new functionality…common apple trick)??? It will very interesting when the tablet is released and then see how much of that functionality winds it’s way down to the iPhone. Thoughts??? Very interesting…more and more reports with some credibility are coming almost every day. At this point…it is fairly certain we will see a tablet fro Apple by Summer. A 10″ screen is awesome! iPhone on steriods if you will.
